Final Session in 2010

Our final session this year will be held next Tuesday 23rd November 6pm to 8pm. Scott Mclean and Nigel Wooden will join us as guest speakers and delivery a presentation on "Clound computing - enable finance to add value to business".

Some updates from me in November:
1. Met Ruth Medd, Chair of Women on board. She is joining us as a guest speaker in March 2011. Ruth will deliver a presentation on practical tips for going on boards.
2. Called for any suggestions of topics for 2011. Please have your say.

I am meeting CFO/COO of Freehill next week.

October 2010 Session

The October meeting was held at Level 1, 190 George St.Sydney onTuesday 26th October. Andre Croteau joined us as guest speaker who shared a lot of tips and trips on Exel. Great feedbacks were received.

The Group Committee is organizing Christmas gathering on 23rd of November after our normal meeting in order to promote networking among members. Please put your name down on the registration form at next meeting.

Some updates from me:

1. Attended the CPA National Women’s Sector Teleconference. Eight representatives from different states discussed women’s issues.
2. Meeting dates for next year were all confirmed. Meeting rooms were booked.
3. Met Janine Cahill yesterday morning. She will join us as guest speaker next year.
4. Chatted with Chair of Women on board. We are having a meeting on 2nd of November and see anything can be done for our group.

September 2010 Session

This month meeting will be held on 28th September. Jen Dalitz will join us as guest speaker. Feel free to bring your male colleague or boss with you.

Some updates from me:
1. Submitted room booking and meeting dates for next year and got February confirmed.
2. The following guest speakers confirmed to join us next year – Dr Alicia Fortinberry, Silvia Damino,Kate Groom andRichard Kelly
3. Encouraged members to become mentors through linkedin and calls;
4. Attended corporate committee meeting this morning and forwarded the initiative how to help female members to be ready for boardroom or executive roles.
