April's guest speaker was Maria Pantalone, from Infinite Growth. Maria presented insights into understanding communication styles to work more effectively with colleagues. Using amusing anecdotes to apply the DISC model of communication, Maria highlighted that we all have preferred styles of communicating with each other. Being aware of different communication personalities leads to more effective discussion and relationships in the workplace. No doubt our members can now identify their own preferred communication style and can use it to improve communication with their teams.
